1. Definitions

"Chesslytix" (also referred to as "we", "us", or "our") refers to the Chesslytix platform, accessible at chesslytix.app. "Service" refers to the chess analysis tools, game databases, and related features provided through the platform. "User" (also referred to as "you" or "your") refers to any individual who accesses or uses the Service. "Content" refers to games, analyses, annotations, and other data you upload or create within the Service.

2. Use of the Service

By creating an account or using Chesslytix, you agree to these Terms of Service. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.

You agree to:

• Provide accurate information when creating your account
• Keep your account credentials secure and confidential
• Not share your account with others
• Not use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Not attempt to disrupt, overload, or compromise the Service
• Not use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the Service without permission

3. Accounts

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, notify us immediately. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

You may delete your account at any time through your profile settings. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Chesslytix offers both free and paid subscription plans. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through our payment processor, Stripe. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to the following:

• Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your payment card details.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time. See our Refund Policy for details.
• Prices may change with 30 days' prior notice. Existing subscriptions will not be affected until renewal.

5. Intellectual Property

The Chesslytix platform, including its design, code, logos, and documentation, is owned by Chesslytix and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service.

You retain ownership of the chess games and analyses you create or upload. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and process your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

6. Limitation of Liability

Chesslytix is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chesslytix shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these terms or engage in conduct that is harmful to other users or the Service. We will provide reasonable notice when possible. Upon termination, you may request an export of your data within 30 days.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the Netherlands.
